Donation and Sponsorship Outreach
Ithaca Beer Co. is committed to community outreach and support. Our brewery is an active proponent in Ithaca and it’s neighboring towns and cities. We are focused on opportunities that bring our brewery, employees and charities together.
In addition to an emphasis on supporting local community, we focus our contributions in community development and human support services. We want to help develop community services now to preserve or improve a similar lifestyle for future community members. We prefer to disperse donations to as many local charities as possible rather than in one large contribution to one organization. In order to keep our donations within our local communities, national and international organizations are given a low priority.
Categories of Giving:
Listed in order of emphasis but generalized to include a range of charities
1) Community Development
2) Human Support Services
3) Environment
Our Contributions are made in the following ways:
1) In Kind Donations or Discounts for non-profit fundraisers.
We will help sponsor nonprofit fund raising events through In-Kind donations of product or discounts on products. We do not give high priority to organizations without 501(c)(3) status.
2) Gift Certificates
These certificates (which are redeemable only at the brewery for all products available in-store except keg deposits, and tap deposits)can be used as items in a fundraiser, auction or raffle.
3) Volunteer Work
We like to lend helping hands whenever we can! We bring our employees closer together through volunteering our time and labor and working together as a team.
What we do not fund:
- Individuals or private foundations
- Political organizations/campaigns
- Religious organizations
- Research Projects
- Teams and team organizations
Additional Restrictions:
- We do not purchase tables or tickets for charitable events, nor do we donate cash.
- We do not donate gift certificates to the employees or volunteers of an organization.
How to submit a request:
Please email us, mail or fax a completed donation request form to the brewery. Include any formal letters of request, fliers or printed material for event with your completed request form. Donation requests are reviewed periodically throughout each month.
Please submit your request at least one month before the event date. Requests that come in less than 4 weeks beforehand will not be reviewed.
